About this asset
Assets Management Toolkit is a complete batch-renaming and asset-organization toolkit for the Unity Editor. Clean up messy hierarchies and project folders in seconds instead of renaming files one by one.
Select any mix of scene objects and assets, stack rename operations, watch the live before/after preview, and apply - safely.
Works with every genre and art style - 2D, 3D, mobile, VR, URP, HDRP or Built-in. It is a pure editor extension: nothing is added to your builds.

KEY FEATURES
RENAMING
• 10 stackable rename operations, freely reorderable per pipeline
• Template-based naming with 7 tokens: {name}, {original}, {index} (with padding, e.g. {index:000}), {type}, {parent}, {guid}, {date} (custom formats)
• Find & replace: plain text or full .NET regex with capture groups ($1), case sensitivity and whole-word options
• 8 case styles: lower, UPPER, Title, Sentence, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case
• Enumeration: custom start, step, zero padding (1-10 digits), separator, prefix or suffix placement
• Normalization: collapse repeated spaces/underscores/hyphens, diacritics to ASCII (é→e), strip invalid file characters
• Character tools: insert at position, remove first/last/range, remove digits/whitespace/symbols/custom sets, trim
TARGETING & PREVIEW
• Works on scene objects and project assets in one batch
• Optional recursion: children of selected objects, contents of selected folders
• Filters: 12 asset type categories, name filter (plain or regex), 4 processing orders
• Live before/after preview with per-row include toggles and object pinging
• Conflict detection before applying: duplicate destinations, existing-asset collisions, invalid file names, empty results
SAFETY
• Scene renames = one native Undo step (Ctrl/Cmd+Z)
• Two-phase asset renaming: name swaps (A<->B) and case-only renames never collide
• Session history with one-click revert of whole batches (assets tracked by GUID, scene objects by GlobalObjectId)
• Asset GUIDs and references are always preserved
• Regex timeouts - a bad pattern can never freeze the editor
ORGANIZATION
• Bulk move, sort into per-type folders, batch add/remove asset labels
• Duplicate name finder (project-wide or selection), empty folder cleanup
• Select-with-dependencies, folder structure creation from templates, selection statistics
PACKAGE CONTENT
• Full C# source (~30 scripts) with assembly definitions and XML documentation
• Extensible: add a custom rename operation with a single class
• Presets: save/load configurations + 5 built-in recipes
• 70+ automated editor tests, 4 test scenes, test data generators
• Documentation: user manual, 14-recipe cookbook, architecture guide
• Editor-only tool - adds nothing to your builds
• Supports Unity 6000.0+, all render pipelines, macOS and Windows
