2D Infinite Character Forge – Ancient Armies Edition turns your Unity project into a workshop for armies of the ancient world. Pick a nation, a role and a race, press Generate, and you get a pixel-art soldier with 22 animations. You can edit it, export it, or swap it out at runtime. The package contains no pre-drawn sprite sheets: all character art is generated by C# code, so the supply of soldiers never runs out.
Six nations, sixteen roles
Roman legionaries, centurions and velites; Greek hoplites, Spartans and peltasts; Egyptian spearmen, archers and khopesh guards; Persian Immortals and sparabara; Celtic swordsmen, Germanic spearmen and druids; and skeleton legionaries and shades for the ancient dead. Every role works with every race: humans, elves, dwarves, gnomes, goblins, orcs, the undead and the sea folk. The result can be a historical Roman legion or an orcish phalanx in Corinthian helmets.
Fully customizable
Every character is editable data, not a fixed image:
Seeds make every result reproducible. Characters save as JSON, and the full C# source is included, so you can add your own races, gear and animations.
Ready for gameplay
Each character comes with 22 animation states: idle, walk, run, jump, attacks, block, shoot, reload, cast, hurt and die, plus a dedicated undead set (shamble, grab, bite, rise, float, phase). Events such as AttackMoment and ShootMoment tell your code exactly when to deal damage or spawn an arrow. You can use editable prefabs for runtime changes, or bake animated prefabs for large crowds.
Suitable genres
The package fits any 2D pixel-art game set in the ancient world or in a fantasy version of it:
It’s a strong fit for games that need many unique soldiers, procedural enemies or player-built characters. The included Standoff demo puts six nations into one ever-growing battle line to show the scale.
Everything works offline, inside the Editor or at runtime, on all Unity platforms.
