🧭 Advanced AI Navigation 2.0

Bring your worlds to life. Build smarter movement visually.
By Denvzla Estudio

Turn your scene objects into agents that patrol, follow, pursue, investigate and move together. Advanced AI Navigation combines visual route creation, configurable movement, perception and group formations in one organized Unity workflow.

Create a guard patrol, guide vehicles through curved streets, build an animal companion or coordinate a squad. Start with guided examples, then customize your agents through modern inspectors and a central Control Center.

🎛️ Your entire navigation setup, in one place

Find and configure agents, routes, waypoints, profiles, formations and perception targets without searching through the Hierarchy. The Control Center brings scene discovery, embedded inspectors, creation tools, navigation setup and diagnostics into a single workspace.

✨ Features that bring movement to life

  • 🛤️ Visual routes and waypoints
Place points directly in the Scene view, reorder paths and choose Loop, Once or PingPong behavior. Preview your route before entering Play.
  • 〰️ Curved paths and smoother turns
Create curved routes, round sharp corners and adjust curve strength. Combine acceleration, braking and turning controls to shape how each agent moves.
  • 🚗 Guided vehicle movement
Tune bend anticipation, cornering speed and maximum turning rate for smoother travel along direct routes. Configure the model’s forward axis and keep it upright.
  • 🐾 Movement presets for different agents
Start with Person, Animal, Heavy Creature or Vehicle settings, then adapt the response to your own models and scene scale.
  • 👁️ Perception and behavior states
Build agents that patrol, detect targets, chase, investigate the last known position and return. Configure view distance, field of view, line of sight, reaction time, memory and pursuit limits.
  • 🎯 Following and destinations
Send an agent to a world position or make it follow a moving target. Adjust following distance, local offsets and the distance required to resume movement.
  • 🚧 Obstacle detection and automatic resuming
Detect blocking colliders ahead, stop when the passage is blocked and continue when it clears. With a configured NavMesh motor, agents can seek an available alternative path.
  • 🧠 Smarter route authoring
Check route clearance, filter placement surfaces and limit placement slopes. When a complete baked NavMesh path is available, insert checked detour points around blocked connections.
  • 👥 Group formations
Arrange followers in Column, Line, Wedge, Grid or Circle layouts. Customize spacing and position tolerance while each member retains its own movement and obstacle settings.
  • 💾 Reusable agent profiles
Share movement and perception settings across multiple agents. Update a common profile or switch an individual agent back to local settings.
  • 🗺️ Optional Unity AI Navigation integration
Detect or install Unity’s official package from the setup tools. Prepare NavMesh surfaces, bake walkable ground, check destinations and configure links or carving obstacles.
  • ⚡ Waypoint actions and UnityEvents
Add stops, change speed at specific points and connect arrival, detection, state-change and blockage events to your game’s sounds, effects and custom logic.
  • 🔧 Diagnostics and configuration helpers
Identify missing references, invalid configurations and controller conflicts. Use contextual guidance and available repair actions to resolve setup problems.

🎮 What can you create?

Guard patrols, companion following, creature pursuit, guided vehicle routes, squad movement, moving props and interactive navigation prototypes. Configure common behaviors visually, with a C# API available for custom integrations.

📚 Learn by building

Includes nine guided examples covering patrols, vehicles, moving objects, following, destinations, perception, curved routes, formations and dynamic obstacles.

Illustrated documentation includes real Unity inspector screenshots, step-by-step instructions, troubleshooting and update history. Choose English or Español, online through GitBook or offline through the included PDF manuals. Open either directly from the inspectors or Tools menu.

⚙️ Requirements and compatibility

  • Verified environment: Unity 6.6 — 6000.6.5f1, on Windows.
  • Core features: direct movement, routes, profiles, perception and formations work without the optional AI Navigation package.
  • Official navigation integration: requires com.unity.ai.navigation; reviewed with version 2.0.16. Package installation requires Internet access.
  • Render pipelines: movement logic is independent of the render pipeline. Included demo materials use Built-in shaders and need conversion for URP or HDRP.
  • Input: movement does not depend on either Unity input system.
  • Offline documentation: requires a PDF reader.

Designed for 3D movement on surfaces. Connect your own animation, combat and vehicle physics systems; guided vehicle movement provides route-following behavior rather than wheel, suspension or tire simulation.

Start with a patrol. Shape the movement. Build the behavior your game needs.
