CREATURE: SPLITMAW

Splitmaw — This is the adult form of Splitgrub. The soft grub has hardened into a low, heavy beast: mottled hide, glowing eyes, and a ridge of long venomous spikes down its back. The spines still weep venom. Four clawed limbs carry it close to the ground, and the foreclaws are built to smash, pin, and tear. The mouth splits wide around hanging oral tendrils, then clamps shut. When it needs speed or a killing blow, it curls into a spiked ball and rolls through whatever is in front of it.

Use it as a boss, a brute, a charger, or the grown stage of a Splitgrub encounter. A nest of larvae in the tunnels, then this waiting at the end. It fits horror, sci-fi, and dark fantasy projects without a reskin.

The asset includes a Unity package, PBR material, a demo scene, and animations for crawl, claw smash, bite, curl/roll smash, hit reactions, and death.
