About this asset

Rock Crawler is a game-ready, low-poly off-road vehicle built for mobile and PC projects using Unity's Universal Render Pipeline. It comes with a red paint finish and desert-weathered dust and wear baked into its PBR textures, making it a natural fit for off-road, rock crawling, racing, open-world, survival and arcade games.

What's modelled

  • Body tub with hood, grille, headlights and taillights
  • Full tube roll cage
  • Front winch with fairlead, cable and tow hook
  • Side steps, mudflaps, antenna and windscreen with wipers
  • Open interior: two seats, dashboard with gauge cluster, center console, and a left-hand-drive steering wheel
  • Underbody: frame, solid axles, suspension links, four coil-over shocks, steering linkage, transmission and driveshafts

Customisable

  • Every part is its own mesh, so pieces can be hidden, swapped or animated individually.
  • The four wheels have centred pivots for spinning and steering.
  • Each door carries its handle, hinges, mirror and interior panel as children.
  • Each LOD uses one texture atlas (Base Color, Normal and a packed Metallic/Occlusion/Smoothness map), so you can repaint the whole vehicle by editing a single Base Color texture.

Performance

  • Three LOD levels: 7,986 / 7,272 / 3,992 triangles.
  • One LODGroup with editable transition distances.
  • A separate 80-triangle convex collision mesh.

Setup

  • Built in meters at real-world scale: about 3.4 m long and 1.9 m wide, with 0.9 m tires.
  • An included Editor script assigns the URP materials, sets the texture import settings, builds the LODGroup and adds the convex MeshCollider in one click.

Not included

  • No driving controller, Rigidbody, rig or animations.
  • The model is set up for you to connect to your own vehicle physics.

Technical details

  • Number of textures: 9 (3 per LOD: Base Color, Normal, Metallic/Occlusion/Smoothness)
  • Texture dimensions: LOD0 2048×2048; LOD1 and LOD2 1024×1024
  • Polygon count of Rock Crawler: 7,986 triangles (LOD0)
  • Minimum polygon count: 3,992 triangles (LOD2)
  • Maximum polygon count: 7,986 triangles (LOD0)
  • Number of meshes/prefabs: 228 meshes (88 LOD0, 88 LOD1, 51 LOD2, 1 collision) in a single FBX; 1 model prefab
  • Rigging: No
  • Animation count: 0
  • Animation type list: None
  • UV mapping: Yes (one UV channel per mesh, atlased per LOD)
  • LOD information: 3 levels (LOD0, LOD1, LOD2) in one LODGroup; transitions at 55% / 25% / 2.5% screen height, then culled; plus a separate convex collision mesh
  • Types of materials and texture maps: PBR (metallic workflow), 9 URP Lit materials (Opaque, Glass and Lens per LOD). Maps: Base Color (sRGB), Normal (OpenGL), packed Metallic (R) / Occlusion (G) / Smoothness (A)
