About this asset

Bring your pixel-art world to life with 50 seamless, looping fire animations – from wide, flickering flames to narrow torch fires.

Every flame was simulated as real fluid fire in Houdini and then converted into clean, hard-edged pixel blocks, so the motion feels natural while the look stays crisp pixel art.

Try before you buy – Windows demo (37 MB):

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WJ6C1tTFykvHNCwkcwpLunDjHfFoW0ty/view?usp=sharing

Browse all 50 fires, switch between 32 and 64 px density and change the fire color live.

(The demo is unsigned – if Windows SmartScreen appears, click "More info" → "Run anyway".)

One fire, any color

The textures store fire intensity in grayscale, and color is applied in the shader. The same atlas can burn orange, blue, green, purple or white – set a fire color and a hot core color right on the material, including HDR values for Bloom.

Ready to drop in

Assign the material to a quad and the fire plays on its own – playback runs entirely in the shader, with no scripts or Animator needed. Change speed, offset the start frame to desync several fires, and switch between alpha and additive blending.

Full source frames included

Besides the ready atlases, you get every single frame the atlases were built from. Edit any frame in your favorite image editor and rebuild the atlas with one click using the included editor tool.

Suitable for platformers, RPGs, roguelikes, top-down and side-view games – campfires, torches, braziers, burning objects and magic flames.
