About this asset
30 free retro sound effects for platformers, arcade games and RPGs: coins, jumps, lasers, explosions, hits, power-ups, menu sounds and jingles. 8-bit through and through, made from square, triangle, saw and noise channels.
- Every sound as WAV (44.1 kHz, 16-bit).
- Levelled to the same loudness, trimmed, with no clicks.
- Works in any engine.
Want more?
Pixel SFX has 222 sounds in the same style, in 10 categories: more coins, jumps, lasers and explosions, plus 33 UI sounds, magic, 18 jingles and misc.
The Python code that synthesises every sound and the demo's C# scripts were written with the help of AI (Anthropic's Claude); no generative audio model, no samples, no recordings. Every sound passes an automated check for clipping, clicks, silence and loudness.
From the publisher's Asset Store listing.
