Settlement Building Framework OFFICIAL SALE

Build modular stations at runtime with automatic room detection, tag-driven classification, power, oxygen, ventilation, crew workers, construction UI, and save slots for Unity 6.

Long Description

Space Station Survival System is a modular, data-driven framework for creating runtime base-building, colony, survival, and management gameplay in Unity 6.

Players construct stations from independent grid pieces. The system automatically detects enclosed spaces, creates logical rooms, and classifies each room according to the objects placed inside it.

A Bed and Locker can create Crew Quarters. An Oxygen Generator can define a Life Support room. Custom ScriptableObject tags and scoring rules let you create completely new room types without modifying the classification code.

Detailed Documentation

Main Features

  • Runtime grid construction with snapping, rotation, multiple stories, placement previews, validation, and demolition.
  • Modular 1×1 structural cells supporting rectangular, L-shaped, and irregular rooms.
  • Automatic enclosed-space detection using floors, walls, doors, and airlocks.
  • Tag-driven room classification with required scores, optional tags, priorities, and room levels.
  • Multi-cell placeables such as 1×2 beds and 2×2 machines.
  • Categorized runtime construction menu with custom icons.
  • Station-wide power production, consumption, and power gating.
  • Local room oxygen, pressure, temperature, and operational states.
  • Powered wall-mounted ventilation between separate rooms.
  • Crew spawning from valid Crew Quarters.
  • Worker oxygen consumption, wandering, job assignment, fatigue, sleeping, and job resumption.
  • Wall-aware worker pathfinding through connected floors, doors, and airlocks.
  • Model-independent Sleep, Operate, and Interact animation slots.
  • Room and personnel inspection UI.
  • RTS-style camera controls.
  • Five versioned JSON construction save slots.
  • Model-ready prefab wrappers for custom artwork.
  • Public, input-independent APIs for Input System, gamepad, touch, multiplayer, or custom UI integrations.
  • Full C# source code and online documentation.

Genre-Agnostic Room System

Although the demo uses a science-fiction setting, the underlying room system works with other genres.

Examples include:

  • Bed + Chest → Bedroom
  • Forge + Anvil → Blacksmith
  • Cauldron + Herb Rack → Alchemy Room
  • Throne + Banners → Throne Room
  • Desk + Command Console → Control Room

Replace the models and data definitions while keeping the same runtime detection and classification pipeline.

Data-Driven Authoring

The framework uses ScriptableObject definitions for:

  • Construction pieces
  • Construction categories
  • Room tags
  • Room types
  • Station objects
  • Resources
  • Production and consumption rates

Create new content without adding hard-coded room-classification branches.

Included Examples

  • Clean runtime construction demo
  • Grid-room and placement demos
  • Structural, furniture, device, UI, and worker prefab templates
  • Example construction catalog and categories
  • Crew Quarters, Life Support, Control Room, Engineering, Medical Bay, Research Lab, and Storage Room definitions
  • Example resource, atmosphere, ventilation, crew, inspection, and save workflows

Requirements and Scope

  • Designed for Unity 6
  • Runtime interface uses uGUI
  • Core APIs are input-independent
  • Optional legacy Input Manager adapters are included
  • Character animation files are not included
  • The documentation includes a complete Humanoid animation import and retargeting guide

Space Station Survival System is a reusable framework rather than a finished game. Inventory, combat, farming, research trees, vertical worker navigation, multiplayer replication, and full simulation-state saving are intended extension points.
