About this asset

Light Studio builds professional lighting rigs around your subject in one click - and, new in 1.5, turns your own models into product shots, turntable videos and store art without leaving Unity. Drop your models onto a studio stage, pick a mood, frame them with real camera snaps and export a transparent PNG, a 4K still or a seamless turntable video. Then lay out the store art in the built-in compositor, or fill a ready template for the Asset Store, Steam, itch.io or social media in one click. Built-in, URP and HDRP.

NEW IN 1.5 - HERO SHOT

- Hero Shot studio: drop prefabs, models or scene objects (up to nine) onto a studio stage of its own. Your scene, your objects and your project are never changed.

- Seven stages: Horizon Sweep, Softbox Ring, Bright Cove, Dark Cove, Mirror Floor, Gradient Void and Turntable Plinth, with tint, floor gloss and soft contact shadows.

- Nine lighting moods, from Soft Product and Clean Catalogue to Golden Hour, Edge Drama and Ember Glow, plus every Light Studio preset.

- Per-subject reflections: each object reflects the stage and the other objects from where it stands, so chrome, glass and lacquer read correctly.

- Real camera work: nine angle snaps, a free orbit, framing on the rule of thirds or the golden ratio, focal length on a full-frame sensor, and multi-camera layouts with up to nine cameras.

- Export: PNG up to 8K with 2x / 4x supersampling and true transparency (clean edges, contact shadows kept), a solid background, or the stage; copy to the clipboard.

- Turntable video built in: a seamless loop as MP4 (H.264), WebM with alpha, GIF or a PNG sequence - no external tools, a repeatable result every time.

- Hero Shot Compositor: layers, 12 blend modes, ten layer effects (shadows, glows, stroke, blur, bloom, colour grade, vignette...), text, shapes and gradients - make store art without leaving Unity.

- 19 templates at the stores' exact sizes: the Asset Store kit, the Steam set (capsules, library hero and logo), an itch.io cover, social posts, a title card, a feature callout and a before / after. One click fills them from your Hero Shot cameras; Export Set writes a whole set.

- Full HDRP support, alongside Built-in and URP.

THE RIG

Point it at a subject. Press Create Rig. It is lit. Light Studio creates a Key, Fill, Rim and Background out of real Unity Lights, positioned from the subject's actual bounds and the camera's view rather than a fixed offset. Pick a look, move a slider, drag a light in the Scene View: the rig re-derives a correct placement every time. Every light is a standard Unity Light; Bake & Detach hands everything back as plain Unity objects.

- Artistic controls: Brightness, Contrast, Softness, Warmth, Direction, Height, Separation.

- Presets: Portrait, Cinematic, Product, Interior in a searchable Preset Browser; Save As Preset; import and export as JSON.

- Scene View handles, Solo / Mute, Before / After comparison.

- Volume, environment and Reflection Probe assistants that never touch what Light Studio did not create.

- Performance indicator and a Scene Lighting Audit.

- Bake & Detach: hand back plain Unity Lights at any time.

Updating from 1.0: install over it. Every 1.0 file keeps its place; your presets and scenes are kept. Full C# source and documentation included.
