About this asset

Stylized City Pack is a comprehensive low-poly city asset pack for Unity URP, built around a ready-to-use simulation system. Drop it into your project and assemble a living, animated city in minutes — no additional plugins required.

The pack ships with a live demo scene showcasing a complete city block with working traffic, pedestrians, cyclists, and a metro line.

Key Features

Content

  • 60+ building prefabs — offices, stores, malls, living houses, hotels, gyms, museum
  • 570+ prop prefabs — flowerbeds, street furniture, fountains, fences, benches, tables
  • 12 car models × multiple color variants (36+ vehicle prefabs)
  • Bicycles (2 models × 4 colors), gyroscooters, scooter
  • Metro train (modular: front + middle cars)
  • 12 male + 12 female animated characters × 4 outfit variants each (96 character prefabs)
  • Bicyclists and gyroscooterists (animated, riding)
  • FX: car exhaust smoke, flower particles, animated clouds, water shader

Road & Traffic System

  • CarTrafficManager — spline-based car traffic with automatic lane management
  • Cars stop for pedestrians, resume after configurable timeout (5 s default)
  • Cars stop for other vehicles, merge lanes, avoid collisions
  • Bicyclists and gyroscooterists as traffic variants on the same system
  • CarTrajectory — Bezier spline editor for custom traffic routes

Procedural Spline Tools (edit-mode, real-time preview)

  • SplineRoad — road mesh along any curve
  • SplineFence — fence along any curve, multi-section mesh
  • RoadMarking — dashed/solid markings along a curve
  • VegetationSpline — scatter vegetation along or inside a closed spline area
  • SidewalkIsland — procedural sidewalk island with node editor; preset shapes: Circle, Octagon, Square 2×2 / 5×5, Rectangle 2×5 — all with rounded corners

Characters & Crowd

  • Wander — NavMesh-based pedestrian wandering with crowd avoidance, stuck detection, configurable scatter radius
  • All spline objects follow parent transform moves — full Undo/Redo support in editor

Technical

  • Unity URP (Universal Render Pipeline)
  • No third-party dependencies
  • All spline tools work in Edit Mode with real-time mesh preview
  • Modular assembly prefabs for quick city block construction

Technical details

Summary:

563 unique 3D models:

  • 60 buildings — avg. ~1,160 tris (range: 28–9,479) — vertex color (no UV mapping)
  • 347 props — avg. ~207 tris (range: 5–3,855) — vertex color (no UV mapping)
  • 46 vehicles — avg. ~542 tris (range: 245–822) — vertex color (no UV mapping)
  • 110 character meshes (male & female, outfit variants, animated rigs) — avg. ~990 tris (range: 20–42,082) — single color-palette texture atlas per gender (with UV mapping)

Animations (characters): idle, idle rare, 2 × walking cycles, 2 × bench sitting, 2 × cafe sitting, bicycle riding — all bone-based

LODs: No

Rendering & Art Pipeline

  • Unity URP (Universal Render Pipeline)
  • Buildings, props, vehicles and environment meshes colored with vertex colors — no texture atlases, minimal draw calls
  • Characters use a single color-palette texture atlas per gender
  • Modular prefab assembly for fast city block construction
  • All meshes optimized for real-time: low poly counts, efficient topology

Spline Tools (Edit Mode, real-time preview)

  • SplineRoad — procedural road mesh along any Bezier curve; preserves inspector-assigned materials when editing nodes
  • SplineFence — fence mesh tiled along a spline; supports multi-submesh sections, configurable spacing, scale and rotation per tile
  • RoadMarking — dashed and solid road markings along a curve
  • VegetationSpline — scatter vegetation along or inside a closed spline area with density and randomization controls
  • SidewalkIsland — procedural sidewalk island with node editor; built-in presets: Circle, Octagon, Square 2×2 / 5×5, Rectangle 2×5 — all with rounded corners
  • All spline objects follow parent transform moves; full Undo/Redo support

Traffic & Crowd System

  • CarTrafficManager — spline-based multi-car traffic with arc-length uniform speed, automatic lane spacing and collision avoidance
  • Cars stop for pedestrians and resume after configurable timeout
  • CarAgent — single-car variant with lateral offset and loop/ping-pong modes
  • Wander — NavMesh-based pedestrian system with crowd avoidance and stuck detection
  • Bicyclists and gyroscooterists supported as traffic variants on the same spline system

No third-party dependencies — drop in and run

Architecture

  • All runtime scripts: Assets/StylizedCityPack/Scripts/
  • All editor scripts compiled under #if UNITY_EDITOR or in Editor/ subfolders — zero editor code in builds
  • All code is in the StylizedCityPack namespace to avoid name collisions
  • No third-party SDKs, no Assembly Definition files required

APIs Used

  • UnityEngine.AI (NavMesh) — pedestrian Wander system
  • UnityEditor.Undo, UnityEditor.Handles — spline node editing with full Undo/Redo
  • Mesh API — procedural mesh generation for SplineRoad, SplineFence, RoadMarking, SidewalkIsland
  • MeshRenderer.sharedMaterials — material slot management

Limitations

  • NavMesh must be baked manually for the Wander pedestrian system
  • SplineRoad, SplineFence, RoadMarking generate meshes in Edit Mode only; no runtime mesh regeneration
  • VegetationSpline uses GameObject.Instantiate — large vegetation counts may affect performance
  • Characters require an Animator Controller with is_moving (bool) parameter

Supported Unity Versions & Platforms

  • Unity 2021.3 LTS and above
  • Universal Render Pipeline (URP) required — Built-in RP and HDRP are not supported
  • All platforms supported by Unity URP (PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, consoles)
