About this asset
Emerald Audio Analyzer is a professional Unity Editor toolkit designed to help developers understand, audit, optimize, and improve the audio in their projects.
Instead of manually checking hundreds of AudioClips, AudioSources, import settings, loudness levels, and memory configurations, Audio Analyzer brings those checks together into one dedicated workspace.
Analyze your project audio using useful engineering measurements including LUFS, Peak dBFS, RMS, waveform envelopes, silence detection, crest factor, DC offset, and category-relative loudness. Audio Analyzer can automatically organize clips into categories such as Dialogue, Music, UI, Ambience, Footsteps, Weapons, Impacts, Vehicles, and more, while still allowing manual category overrides when needed.
The Project Audio Audit inspects AudioSources in scenes and prefabs to help identify configuration problems such as suspicious looping, muted or zero-volume sources, inappropriate 3D settings, missing clips, duplicate autoplay music, and other common setup issues.
During Play Mode, the Live Monitor provides real-time Peak and RMS metering for the master output and currently playing AudioSources, making it easier to diagnose your actual in-game mix while the project is running.
The Import & Memory Audit examines AudioClip import settings and highlights potentially inefficient configurations such as long Decompress On Load clips, short Streaming clips, unnecessarily high sample rates, large decoded memory footprints, and possible mono optimization opportunities.
Audio Analyzer also includes Mix Profiles, allowing you to evaluate categories relative to a chosen loudness reference instead of forcing every sound toward a single universal target. Built-in profiles provide useful starting points for general games, mobile projects, cinematic experiences, dialogue-heavy games, and wider dynamic-range mixes.
Compressed and Streaming clips are handled through a non-destructive Safe Source Analysis system. When a clip cannot be directly analyzed, Audio Analyzer creates a temporary readable copy, performs the analysis, verifies the original source remains unchanged, and removes the temporary asset afterward.
The package is genre-independent and can be used with action games, RPGs, strategy games, simulations, horror games, mobile titles, cinematic projects, and virtually any Unity project that uses audio.
All analysis and auditing tools are Editor-only. Audio Analyzer does not require you to modify your runtime audio system, AudioMixer setup, source files, or existing game architecture.
A generated customer demo is included so you can explore the workflow immediately.
