About this asset

Aliens, uh... found their way into this asset pack. They actually fled their dying galaxy just to gamedev. We neither confirm nor deny the existence of this pack, mostly because the government fears our neon palettes and smooth animations.

Ready to play:

  • Drag a character onto your level and it patrols by itself: the aliens and slime cubes walk back and forth and turn at walls, ledges and other characters; the flying saucers patrol the air at their height.
  • When they pause, the aliens and saucers play their idles at random (a second idle, jamming with headphones, turning round; rocking, tilting), set up in their Animator Controllers, no code needed.
  • The small aliens can die: their head explodes, and their remains stay until you revive them. Shots and traps from Atomic Realm's other packs work on them too.
  • Every moving character has a collider fitted to its body and 2D physics: they stand on your ground, ride moving platforms and can be pushed.
  • Drive them from your own scripts through a simple API (walk, fly, stop, turn, die, revive), or from UnityEvents.

The characters:

  • Gray alien (Alien1) and its green variant (Alien1B): walk, two idles, a little dance with headphones, a turn round, and a head-exploding death.
  • Alien with long tentacle hair (Alien2): two idles.
  • Alien mecha slug (Alien3): idles and crawls.
  • Flying saucers (UFO1, its colour variant UFO1B, and UFO2 with an alien at the controls): spin, rock and tilt.
  • Slime cubes (SlimeCube1, the ice-blue SlimeCube1B), a little alien octopus and Voyager, a radar dish.

Also included:

  • A demo scene: aliens, slime cubes and saucers patrolling a sci-fi level, idling at random; every few seconds a small alien loses its head.
  • Scenery to place: a group of aliens and two faded copies for layers further back; the demo's background picture.
  • The original Photoshop files (PSD) and GIF previews of the animations.

Credit to Atomic Realm is appreciated but not required.
