About this asset

Fracture Box Destruction is a focused workflow for reusable, breakable cargo boxes in Unity 6 URP. Place an authored prefab in your scene, trigger a break from gameplay or a physics collision, then freeze or reset the debris for reuse.

Three supplied cargo-box prefabs contain 100, 200 and 300 pre-authored Rigidbody shards. The intact geometry is saved and visible in the Editor; the demo does not need to instantiate the boxes at game start.

FractureBoxDestructible groups launch speed, radius falloff, upward motion, directional bias, spin and debris-freeze timing on one component. A custom Inspector provides Break Box, Freeze Debris and Reset Box buttons during Play. UnityEvents expose fracture and reset hooks. The optional FractureBoxCollisionTrigger filters impacts by relative speed and layer mask.

The saved showcase presents all three variants in a repeating 30-second sequence. Disable its Auto Play option when testing manual gameplay controls. A six-page offline PDF manual covers installation, Inspector settings, the C# API, collision setup and troubleshooting.

Scope: geometry is fractured in advance. This package does not slice arbitrary meshes or generate new fracture geometry at runtime. It does not include a damage system, multiplayer synchronization or render-pipeline conversions.

Reference configuration: Unity 6000.0.30f1, Universal RP 17.0.3, Windows / Direct3D 11. Profile simultaneous debris counts on your target hardware.
