A sewing machine has a distinctive mechanical personality that most game libraries don't capture in any depth. 344 SFX - Sewing Machine & Stitching is a dedicated recording library covering every stage of working with a domestic sewing machine, from setting it up to running a full stitch sequence.

The machine running sounds are the core of the library. Full start-to-stop sequences are recorded at three speeds slow, medium, and fast with multiple takes of each, giving you both the ramp-up and wind-down as well as the running character at different needle rates. Longer sequences covering start, stop, and mid-session adjustments give you realistic working patterns. Setup sounds cover changing the needle, attaching and removing the needle foot, lowering and lifting the presser foot lever, and sliding the plastic tray on and off. Bobbin handling covers winding up, unwinding, placing the bobbin on the spindle, inserting it into the machine, and opening and closing the bobbin cover in both hard and soft variants. Thread pulls, a fabric tear, foot pedal presses and releases, and rummaging through a needle and accessories bag complete the picture.
