Diesel Generator (Interactive - Game ready) screenshot 1
About this asset
A high‑fidelity, game‑ready diesel generator designed for first‑person, third‑person, and VR projects. Built for close‑quarters interaction, environmental storytelling, and gameplay systems, this asset fits seamlessly into industrial, sci‑fi, horror, and post‑apocalyptic environments.
Crafted to function as a visually and mechanically believable prop, the generator supports detailed player inspection and hands‑on operation—ideal for immersive gameplay and simulation.
Interaction‑Focused Design
This generator goes beyond a static environment object. It includes fully interaction‑ready components suited for puzzles, scripted events, training scenarios, and dynamic power systems.
Features
- Hinged front door with correctly aligned pivoting handle
- Interactable start/stop buttons (separate meshes)
- Removable key
- Pivotable 3‑phase socket covers
- Operation mode switch (MANUAL / AUTO / OFF)
- Optional removable cables
- Removable fuel cap for filling interactions
- Four individually flippable circuit breakers with pivoting cover
- Reversible exhaust pipe for indoor/outdoor venting
- Emissive indicator elements supporting green (OK), red (fault), and off states for flexible gameplay signalling across:
- Fuel level / fuel‑related status
- MCB (circuit breaker) conditions
- Low battery state
- Key‑required operation (key‑ring light for interaction clarity)
- On/Off display panel mesh
Use Cases
- VR training and simulation
- Horror and survival gameplay
- Industrial or utility scenes with power management
- Puzzle‑driven mechanics and objectives
Technical Notes:
- This asset includes 3D models, textures, and material setups only. No scripts or state machine logic are included—interaction behaviour (switching states, gameplay systems, etc.) must be implemented in your project.
- The emissive elements are split across three materials to allow independent control and fine‑tuning based on your lighting setup (and exposure response). This enables you to adjust display panel brightness separately, and balance indicator bulb intensity against the surrounding glass glow for more realistic results.
- Designed at a slightly enhanced scale for comfortable VR interaction. The asset can, of course, be rescaled to more realistic proportions (approx. 0.6–0.7) if required.
- Built from scratch in Blender and textured in Substance Painter. 4k and 2k textures (see technical details for full breakdown).
- Prefabs for both Unity URP / HDRP pipelines
Part of a growing set of interactive industrial assets. Combine to create consistent, gameplay‑driven industrial environments with a shared design language.
