About this asset

Game feel for the whole screen — not just the camera.

Most "juice" assets ship camera shake and stop there. Screen Juice productizes the screen-space feedback layer that makes Hades, Doom and Returnal feel so good: hitstop, color punches, chromatic pulses, shockwaves, speed lines and cinematic focus — all from a single ScreenJuiceDirector, triggered by name with no code.

You don't wire up 14 sliders. You pick a preset like Critical Hit or Boss Slam, hit Preview, and ship it this afternoon.

⚡ Make every hit feel huge

  • 25+ hand-tuned presets — crits, heavy hits, parries, explosions, low-health, rage, poison, ultimates, boss intros, level complete and more.
  • Best-in-class hitstop — physics-safe, eased, and a single owner of time scale (no more "the freeze broke my animations").
  • The full impact toolbox — screen flash, blood/damage tint, vignette pulse, zoom punch, trauma-based screen shake, shockwave ripple, radial blur, chromatic aberration, edge distortion, color grading, grain, speed lines, letterbox, fades, and a cinematic focus pull for boss reveals and ultimates.

🎛 Zero code (or one line, your call)

  • Juice Trigger component: pick a preset + a When (on hit, on collision, on death…). Done — no scripting.
  • Event channels (JuiceEvent): decouple "what happened" from "what it looks like," and hook sound/haptics to the same event.
  • One-line C# API: Juice.Play("CriticalHit"); — copy the exact call straight from any preset.

👀 See it before you commit

  • One-click preview in the Scene view — no Play mode.
  • Timeline scrubber to fine-tune how effects layer over time.
  • Runtime overlay (F8) to fire and tune presets against real gameplay.
  • Preset Browser to shop the whole catalog like a gallery.

🧩 Works everywhere

  • Built-in, URP & HDRP. 2D & 3D. One workflow across all of them.
  • Mobile-friendly: a single composited full-screen pass, zero per-frame allocations, and the pass is skipped entirely when nothing is active.

♿ Player-friendly & shippable

  • Built-in flash/shake reduction and a photosensitivity-safe mode you can expose in your options menu — increasingly a console-cert requirement.
  • A Master Intensity slider to scale the whole layer per quality tier.

🛠 Built to extend

  • Add your own effects by subclassing one class — they show up in the editor automatically.
  • Clean, SOLID, fully XML-documented code with an extensive manual: setup, usage, event binding, and a "Create Your Own Effect" guide.

Includes: 25+ presets · 18+ effect modules · 4 demo scenes · full source · extensive documentation.

Not trying to be a whole game-feel orchestra. If you just want your screen to hit hard, today — this is it.
