ScreenFit QA — UI Audit & One-Click Fixes screenshot 1
About this asset
UI bugs rarely stay on the screen you just checked. A hidden popup clips after translation, a button lands under a notch, or a Canvas Scaler remains fixed at another resolution. Checking every scene by hand takes hours and still leaves gaps.
ScreenFit audits the open scene or every enabled Build Settings scene in one pass. Project Scan groups findings by source scene and clearly marks canceled or failed scans as incomplete. Open a result to inspect it with Scene-view overlays, then apply safe one-click fixes where available.
AUDIT UNITY UI BEFORE RELEASE
ScreenFit QA is an editor audit-and-fix tool for uGUI layouts. Choose the checks and device presets that matter, scan one scene or the full Build Settings list, and review a focused list of problems.
One scan checks:
- Safe-area collisions with notches, cutouts, and home indicators
- Canvas Scaler settings that do not adapt across resolutions
- Horizontal and vertical text overflow
- Text that fits now but may overflow after translation
- Interactive elements below the recommended touch-target size
PROJECT-WIDE RELEASE AUDIT
- Scan every enabled scene in Build Settings from one button
- Follow cancelable progress without leaving temporary scenes open
- Keep results and exported reports grouped by source scene
- See canceled or failed scans as incomplete instead of a false clean result
- Open the source scene directly, then Select or Fix the affected element
- Keep intentional exceptions isolated to the correct scene
WHY NOT JUST WRITE IT YOURSELF?
You can write a safe-area script in ten minutes. What that script does not do is tell you which scene or hidden panel is actually broken, which button is 32dp instead of 44dp on an iPhone SE, or which label may clip once translated into German. ScreenFit answers those questions in one scan, then fixes what it can repair safely.
FIX COMMON ISSUES IN ONE CLICK
ScreenFit can safely repair common problems directly from the results list:
- Add and configure a SafeAreaFitter while leaving backgrounds full-screen
- Configure Canvas Scaler with sensible responsive defaults
- Grow undersized touch targets to the recommended device-specific size
Every fix is a single Undo operation.
FOCUSED RESULTS FOR PRODUCTION WORK
- Jump directly to a broken element with Select
- Highlight issues with Scene-view overlays
- Ignore intentional exceptions so repeat scans stay useful
- Include inactive UI to catch hidden popups and disabled panels
- Add custom device presets with resolution, dp size, and safe-area insets
- Export Markdown and JSON reports for QA hand-off
- Export an annotated Game-view screenshot for open-scene scans
BUILT FOR TRANSPARENT UNITY WORKFLOWS
Full C# source is included. Nothing is hidden, and only one small runtime
component, SafeAreaFitter, enters your build. All scanning and reporting code
runs in the Unity Editor.
DEVICE COVERAGE
Six built-in device presets cover common phone, tablet, and wide-screen
targets. Custom presets are supported for project-specific resolutions, dp
sizes, and safe-area insets.
ScreenFit evaluates the current layout against each device's safe-area and dp
parameters. ScreenFit does not re-flow the layout at every aspect ratio.
ScreenFit is an audit-and-fix tool, not a device emulator.

ScreenFit QA is render-pipeline independent. It audits standard uGUI, Canvas, RectTransform, Text, and TextMeshPro components in the Unity Editor and does not include pipeline-specific shaders, materials, renderer features, or post-processing.
Built-in Render Pipeline, URP, and HDRP are supported. Custom SRPs should also work when using standard uGUI APIs, but are not separately validated.
