Connects to your own server or Google Firebase Realtime Database over REST. Firebase is optional, not bundled, and has its own terms and pricing past the free tier: https://firebase.google.com/terms. The asset also runs fully on a local backend with no account.
Your game needs a leaderboard, then it needs seasons, then a tournament, and building each one properly takes longer than it looks.
This covers all of it:
- Leaderboards: best, latest, total or cumulative scoring, high or low sort
- Daily, weekly, monthly, all-time and custom season resets (UTC)
- Paging, an "around me" view, and friends-only boards
- Single and double elimination tournaments with automatic byes and seeding
- Round-robin league with a points table and tiebreakers
- Seed a tournament from the top players of any leaderboard
- Optional score signing so your backend can reject forged scores
Import it, press Play, and the demo runs on a local backend with no account and no setup. When you are ready, switch to Firebase or your own server with one setting.
Honest limits: ranking is computed on the client, so very large boards want server-side indexing (the docs show how), and client score signing raises the bar but does not replace server validation for competitive titles.
