Depth Gradient Fog OFFICIAL SALE

Unity's default fog is useful for basic distance fading, but it offers limited control over how atmospheric depth, color, height, sky, and lighting should behave.

Depth Gradient Fog expands on Unity's built-in fog with a flexible fullscreen URP fog system designed for stronger atmospheric control while remaining lightweight and easy to configure.

Fast to integrate and performance-focused. The system uses a single fullscreen pass and is designed as a lightweight alternative to more expensive volumetric solutions. Included editor auto-setup tools make installation and configuration quick, with a drag-and-drop workflow for getting started. A Discord community is also available for support, discussion, and updates.

The system combines distance fog, near-to-far color gradients, optional height fog, skybox fog, horizon control, sun glow, ambient sky blending, and dithering in a single effect.

All settings are exposed through a standard Unity Volume Override, allowing the fog to work naturally with Global and Local Volumes, priorities, and volume blending.

Suitable for a wide range of projects, including:

  • Horror and suspense games
  • Atmospheric exploration games
  • Outdoor environments
  • Cinematic scenes
  • Stylized environments
  • Fantasy and sci-fi worlds
  • Foggy forests, valleys, streets, and landscapes
  • Prototypes and greyboxed environments

Use subtle settings for atmospheric haze and distant object separation, or push the effect further for dense and dramatic environments.

The system is fully customizable through the Volume inspector, with controls for fog falloff, density, distance, opacity, color, height, sunlight interaction, skybox behavior, horizon falloff, and dithering.

Depth Gradient Fog is designed for projects that need atmospheric depth and visual control without the additional complexity and cost of full volumetric fog.
