This framework is NOT for landable planets - it uses shaders and procedural textures to be viewed from orbit or solar system maps.

3.1.0 - January 2026: We added 12 new sample planets, baked from Procedural Planet Generation - with colors, normals, specular, and emission. A new custom lighting demo scene shows a basic setup of the omnidirectional shader lighting pipeline in the full asset. New gas giant and asteroid ring shaders.
🪐 Fully Procedural Shaders
✅ Easy to use
These shaders are built with Shader Graph and the post-processing effects use RenderGraph, but no shader programming knowledge is required to use this asset. It's ready to use out of the box with utility editor menu items and MonoBehaviour scripts that allow you to quickly create procedural celestial bodies with pre-assigned materials, textures, and components ready for editing.
For advanced users, all shaders are built with modular components split into Shader Graph sub-graphs and .hlsl scripts, neatly organized to facilitate easy extension and modification.
