About this asset
The Lightweight Advanced FPS Movement controller is ideal for first-person games of all kinds, with a host of movement options to suit all genres:
- Sprinting
- Wallrunning
- Walljumping
- Mantling
- Stamina system encouraging interesting movement by rewarding walljumps and mantles with a stamina boost
- Dynamic impulse forces, allowing you to create knockback, explosions, and more
- Visual effects to emphasise speed, built on events to make it easy to plug your own system into the controller.
The player movement script has a plethora of useful values exposed to the inspector to give developers the power to customise movement to suit their game perfectly, with easy-to-understand and fully commented code so you can get even further customisation by editing the movement script to fit your project.
The package was built with two priorities: giving players a sense of absolute control over their movement, and a convincing sense of momentum.
Includes a demo scene showcasing all the features.
From the publisher's Asset Store listing.
Technical details
The package is built on Unity's Character Controller component and will not work as a Rigidbody controller natively.
The demo uses Unity's old input system, however the movement script itself has methods allowing you to use any input system, including Unity's new input system or a third party system.
