Compared to behaviour trees, utility AI allows for more nuanced and dynamic decision-making, making it easier to modify and extend the behaviour of your agents.
In addition to providing a comprehensive implementation of utility AI, the Utility AI Framework also includes debugging tooling and practical demos to help you get up and running quickly. Our framework is designed to be extensible and maintainable, allowing you to easily modify and extend the behaviour of your agents.
At the same time, we believe that the progression of the package should be driven by the needs and ideas of the community. That's why we encourage you to join our Discord community and share your feedback and suggestions for future development.
Important Notes
The tool provides a starting point for your AI, you will need to have basic programming knowledge to create custom AI.
Unity Version Compatibility In general, this works from 2019.4+ however for the FarmerHero demo scene, you will need to rebake the navigation and Unity Events with interfaces will not be visible in the inspector.

Non Programmers! if you are a non programmer but interested, reach out and if there are enough interest, I'll add visual tools for the tool or general guide. At launch, it is designed with programmers as the primary audience and I'm ensuring that works well from ground up before adding fancy tools. In future, I plan add more support around animation and vfx.
