XR Interaction Kit - Physical VR Interactions, Weapons, Vehicles & Climbing

XR Hands-On Interaction Kit gives you the interactions players expect from modern VR games as clean components on top of Unity's XR Interaction Toolkit. Drop the player rig into your scene, add any prefab, and it works with Quest, Rift and other OpenXR headsets.

v2.0 is a major update that replaces "XR Interaction tools - Basic interaction table". The single interaction table is now a full sci-fi holodeck hangar. Each feature sits on its own lit station.

Features

  • Physical hands: procedural finger curls from grip and trigger, per-object hand shapes, collidable physics hands and switchable glove styles.
  • Grabbing: precise and snap grips, two-handed items, throwing, distance grab, sockets with ghost previews and return-home timers.
  • Weapons: HD pistol and bolt-action rifle, shotgun (tube feed), revolver (open/load/close), launcher, magazines, chambering, recoil and haptics. Also a recurve bow with arrows, a melee sword and an energy blade.
  • Damage and demolition: health/damage system, ragdoll dummy with detachable limbs, chain-reacting explosive barrels and a slow-motion time warp.
  • Climbing: grab-anywhere climb holds and a climb motor that keeps working upside-down. Includes a 14 m holo wall into a ceiling route with moving and timed holds, checkpoints, a timer board, a best time saved in PlayerPrefs, a finish bell and a comfortable fade-respawn when you fall.
  • Locomotion: smooth walk, snap/smooth turn, arc teleport with no-teleport zones, grapple launcher, zipline, hand jets, moving platforms, arm-swing walking, jump/crouch and a comfort tunnel.
  • Controls: levers, dials, doors, sliders, drawers, joysticks and push buttons with detents, springs and haptics.
  • Vehicles: sit-in buggy with a grabbable steering wheel, plus an IPilotable interface for your own cars, planes or helicopters.
  • UI: wrist menu, poke buttons, tooltips, debug/FPS panel and a VR keyboard.
  • Tools: flashlight, marker that draws in the air, and a flask with liquid slosh.
  • Demo: enclosed hangar with baked lighting, light probes, reflection probes, cheap bloom and ambient audio, built for Meta Quest. Every demo object can be rebuilt from code (Tools > XR Hands-On Kit > Rebuild Demo Scene).
  • Tested: 75 automated PlayMode tests that drive a simulated XR rig through every station.
