The main goal of the meteorites game is to destroy meteorites and hostile spaceships. The player controls a spacecraft that can rotate left and right, fire shots straight ahead, and thrust forward to accelerate in a chosen direction. Once the ship begins moving in a certain direction, it will continue along that path indefinitely due to inertia, unless the player applies thrust in a different direction. When no thrust is being applied, the spacecraft gradually slows down and eventually comes to a stop.
