About this asset

☄️ SpriteShape 2D Texture Pack - Forest ☄️

Need a forest? A wooded trail? Designed a nice grove? We got you covered with our texture pack providing everything you need to design rich and detailed forest platforms.

☄️ Features / Provided Assets ☄️

  • 3 Handpainted Forest Platform Textures, each with:

- 2 Platform Variations

- 1 Fill Texture (1024x1024)

- Sprite Sheet containing all necessary sprites (1024x1024)

  • 3 Ready to use Sprite Shape Profiles (Unity's Sprite Shape Package needs to be installed to see/use!)
  • High Quality Sliced Sprites for custom use included (2048x2048)
  • 6 Example Scenes
  • Clean Naming and Folder Structure
  • Documentation

With our texture pack we want to provide you a bunch of ready to go assets so you can quickly create the 2D levels you want. This asset pack was designed with Unity's Sprite Shape Package in mind (please have a look at the "Technical details" paragraph below), since we provide so called Sprite Shape Profiles and Sprite Sheets to work with.

But you're totally free to use the textures themselves however you want!

# A Word on working with Unitys Sprite Shape Package #

If you import this asset pack BEFORE you install Sprite Shape some of the provided assets (mainly the Sprite Shape Profiles) probably will seem broken – this is expected behaviour. In order to process Sprite Shape Profiles the Sprite Shape package needs to be installed first. That‘s not a problem, though.
Just install the Sprite Shape Package and you can look at/work with our Sprite Shape Profiles and example scenes again (you may have to reload the example scene)

Supported Sprite Shape Versions

We don‘t provide any scripts which are affected by the actual version of the package. Our textures should work out of the box with every Sprite Shape version.

# A Word on Ferr2D #

If you don‘t know what Ferr2D is and don‘t plan to use it in any way, you may skip this part, otherwise read on:

We know that a lot of folks used and still use Ferr2D for their 2D Unity games. We did, too!

As far as we know Ferr2D is not supported anymore, sadly.
This means we do not provide any support for Ferr2D with this package.
That being said, technically it can work. We provide sliced high quality versions of the textures, in the end you could create your own spritesheet with the provided assets in Photoshop or another graphics editor. We just don‘t support the Ferr2D workflow out of the box, but feel free to adjust the assets to fit your needs.

If you don't plan on working with any of these tools and are just interested in the textures, go ahead, they're just textures and should work with any Unity version
