Complex shield bubble VFX created using Unity's Universal Rendering Pipeline and the VFX graph.
Contains 15 different variations, 2 Shaders, one VFX graph visual effect and lots of textures and parameters to create variations.
The effect is intended for Desktop use but could also be used for mobile and if needed, further simplified. The particle part is GPU-based and thus extremely fast.
Key elements include:
- Chromatic Abberation
- Rim Lighting
- Intersection detection
- Seamless tiling over the input mesh (no UVs needed)
- Full color and intensity control over individual features
Since everything is built with Shader Graph and VFX Graph it's open for customization even without much shader knowledge.
