About this asset

This package contains telephone signal tones currently in use in the following countries:

  • France
  • Germany
  • Japan
  • Poland
  • United Kingdom
  • United States

For each country there are 3 basic tones:

  • dial tone (you can hear it when you pick up the phone receiver) - 5 seconds without fades, loopable
  • ringing tone (after the number has been dialed) - one faded signal with proper pause, loopable
  • busy tone (when the number is busy) - one faded signal with proper pause, loopable

There is also a newer tone used all around the world as special information tone. It is usually played before a voice message e.g. when the dialed number is unreachable.

In the separate directory there are also DTMF (dual-tone multi frequency) tones which can be heard when pressing keypad buttons. They're 1 second-long and not faded.

All tones conform with technical specification.
